Us poetesses are descended from Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, Maya Angelou, and Queen Esther. We are descended from every woman who ever dared to speak her mind and every woman who dared to dream. We are every woman whose voice wanted, needed, and deserved to be heard. We are goddesses and queens, muses all.
